1. WATERWAY (Ice Bath Pro/XL Filter)

Cleaning Schedule

Rinse: Weekly. Remove the cartridge and hose off thoroughly.

Replace: Every 2-4 months or ~100 plunges.
How to Bleed
-
Turn on the pump.
-
Locate the air relief knob on top of the filter housing.
-
Twist counter-clockwise until water spurts out steadily.
-
Tighten clockwise to close.
System Flushing
Flush entire plumbing system every 1-2 months. Drain tub, fill with fresh water, run for 1 hour, drain again, and refill.

2. Short Waterway (Ice Plunge)

Cleaning Schedule

Rinse: Weekly. Critical due to smaller surface area.

Replace: Every 2 months or sooner if flow reduces.
How to Bleed
-
Ensure pump is running.
-
Loosen the small bleed screw on top of housing.
-
Wait for air hiss to stop and water to flow.
-
Retighten screw gently.
System Flushing
Monthly flushing is recommended. Flush plumbing lines when changing water. Ensure mini-filter housing is fully drained to remove sediment.

3. Intex (Ice Plunge/ MIB Filter)

Cleaning Schedule

Rinse: Weekly. Turn off pump and use plugs before opening.

Replace: Type A or B cartridges every 2-4 weeks.
How to Bleed
-
Unscrew the air release valve on top of housing.
-
Wait for water to flow out.
-
Tighten back down.
System Flushing
Every 4-6 weeks. Intex hoses tend to collect biofilm faster.

Cleaning Schedule

Check the pump basket strainer weekly. Remove lid, pull out basket, and rinse debris.

Rinse: Monthly or when pressure gauge rises 8-10 PSI above clean starting pressure.
-
Replace: Annually or when bands break/media frays.
How to Bleed
-
Open manual air relief valve on filter head.
-
Stand clear.
-
Close when a steady stream of water appears.
System Flushing
Standard flush procedure. Ensure backwash valve is used if equipped (sand/DE models) or cartridge removal for cleaning.
